Plasma and LCD TV's
Both LCD and plasma displays come in the form of slim flat panel displays, yet from a technology perspective, these two flat panel displays process the image in a totally different manner. Plasma uses a matrix of tiny gas plasma cells that are charged by precise electrical voltages to emit light and hence to create the picture image. Liquid Crystal Displays (LCD) panels - work by trapping a liquid crystal solution between two sheets of polarized glass. When an electric current is passed through the liquid crystals, they change the polarization of the light passing through them in response to the electric voltage - as a result of which, more or less light is able to pass through the polarized glass on the face of the display. A common misnomer is that you can't use a plasma TV at high altitude. This is a half truth. You can use a plasma at high altitude but you should buy one that is rated to high altitude. If you don't buy one that is rated to high altitude, the TV will need to work much harder because the properties of the gas change at high altitude. A Plasma TV that is not rated to high altitude will produce a buzzing sound, the cooling fan will be running constantly, and the lifespan of the TV will be severely shortened. Compunet only sells plasma TV's that are rated to altitude.

During the construction phase of any new home or business, considerations for your audio and video needs should be as important as every other decision you make. It is much easier and cost effective to plan in advance and pre-wire for you're A/V needs during the construction phase than to try and run wires after your project is complete. Sonos is the first and only digital music system that lets you play all your digital music, all over your house -and control it all from the palm of your hand. Now you can play different music in each room. The Sonos Digital Music System delivers music around your home without special wiring or remodeling. The MusicCAST system from Yamaha is a music storage and distribution system.
